Welcome to HER Place!

HER Place is a newly-founded non-profit organization dedicated to the mission of fostering Hope, providing Education, and supporting Recovery for women who suffer from alcohol and drug addiction. Our Women's Addictions Recovery Outreach Center is a place where women, children, and families can find a safe and nurturing environment that will offer free access to peer support services and educational programs that will empower recovery from addictions and transformation of lives.

September is National Recovery Month!

In honor of National Recovery Month, HER Place will be hosting an Open House Celebration! Join us on Tuesday, September 2nd from 5:30p – 7:30p at the Barnett Community Center to help celebrate! No RSVP is necessary, and light refreshments will be served!

HER Evening for Recovery will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church Reception Hall on September 27th beginning at 6:30 PM. Speakers will present after dinner, and a silent auction will also be held with all proceeds to benefit HER Place in the expansion of our vision to foster recovery, promote self-sufficiency, and provide saef and affordable housing for women and children. The kickoff to National Recovery Month meant the kickoff to a new facility to help women who use drugs do just that -- recover -- during a ceremony Tuesday evening.
HER Place was welcomed to Huntington during an open house at the Barnett Center, 1524 10th Ave., by a crowd of about 100 people, including Huntington Mayor Steve Williams.

A new addiction and recovery center for women is having an open house on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

HER Place will host an open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Barnett Center, 1524 10th Ave. Huntington Mayor Steve Williams will speak at the event. September is National Recovery Month, intended to raise awareness about addiction recovery successes and services in communities everywhere.
